When I went to Yosemite, it was to find snow, to be productive in my photography, to create fresh images, and I did all those things. But to be honest, it was also a reason for me to get out into nature, to let the beauty of the place wrap itself around my shoulders, and to breathe in the fresh air and experience the quiet hush that comes with fresh snowfall. So in between the moments of analyzing the light, getting my settings right, and composing the photo, I also found moments where I simply stood, transfixed at the beauty before me.
Winter transfigures the landscape.
