On this day, we were walking around looking for pictures, and while the group was photographing something else (what I can’t recall at the moment), I happened to look down and saw these two cute kids tucked into the doorway of this colorful house. Although my first instinct was to ‘shoot quickly’ to get a candid photo, I really don’t like to shoot ‘down’ on kids, so I decided to kneel down to be at eye level with them. I asked them (in Spanish) to look at me, and they did for a few frames, but then they got silly – and that’s when I got the better photo! Kids just know how to have fun no matter where they live. I loved that she was wearing a soft green in contrast to his red shirt – and that the house essentially echoed the color scheme. It’s so wonderful when things work out like this.

Giggle, giggle… so sweet.
Thanks, John! I’ve been reading out the new XT-1 in my ‘spare’ time this weekend and yikes, another trip to the store! Great news, though. I need another body before I go to Morocco in May – no pun intended!
