Playing inside, that is. While California’s getting hit with the Pineapple Express, it’s been a good time to do things indoors. And because not much work ever gets done the week before Christmas around here, and because I have an article to write with a deadline, I’m finding all sorts of other things to do instead! This image was created with an original slide(yes, film) that was scanned. After doing a basic prep in Photoshop, I then added Flypaper Texture’s Iridiscent Brush Texture and Iorek Ice Texture over the image, with blending modes and using the brush to paint back in the flowers and pot a little bit. I wanted to keep the pastel look to the image but I did use an unsharp mask formula to boost the contrast a little and then sharpened the image.
It’s Raining, it’s Pouring, it’s a good day for…well, playing!

Thanks, Bob – yes, this weather is challenging – time to photograph indoors perhaps, which you have done so well over the past year in various places. Thanks for commenting and have a great holiday yourself!
Beautiful bouquet, and I think the texture looks great. I agree, nice to see a little spring/summer feel with all this chaotic weather! Happy Holidays Brenda!
