Burano, Italy is an amazingly colorful place. Each house is attached to the other in low rows (see smaller photo) and yet each family/person chooses their own color scheme. It’s a riot of color and photographically such a fun place. They’ve gone to the extreme of having bicycles, wash buckets, bird cages and more ‘match’ or compliment their house colors, too. But what a photographer’s paradise!! This bucket scene was just too neat to pass up…even the handle on the mop was patterned with a soft pink. By keeping my composition simple, it became all about the colors and forms. So they must shop with their colors in mind! But that’s what makes it a popular place to visit – it’s just so cheerful there.
