Typhoon in Tokyo made landing rough and flight cancelled for connection to Bangkok (BKK). sigh. Spend the night on a not so terrible row of seats, fiftul sleeping, but all told I think I got 4 hrs sleep. Lots of time to play around with photos on phone and ipad! morning broke a nice day, things maybe back to normal now…
This airport shuts down for the night so people were left sleeping all over the place as hotels were all full; we didn’t see them but airport people passed out light sleeping bags snacks and water to stranded passengers. That’s a terrific way to handle things, very civilized, even though United Airlines didn’t do a great job handling economy passengers’ needs.
