I’m starting a new series – instead of Barns of the Palouse, —-it’s barns of Oregon! ha ha. But they have really nice barns in Eastern Oregon, too, just different scenery behind/around them. We stayed overnight in John Day, Oregon and in the morning we explored the pretty valley east and west of it. Found this lovely old barn. Afterwards we took it into high gear to get home to finish our book project…
Processed using Nik’s HDR Efex Pro, and then used Color Efex Pro for tonal contrast.
Sounds like a fun race, Dave! I hope it’s a great time. Cycle Oregon sounds wonderful, too – and a perfect time of year to do it. Have fun…
We love eastern Oregon. We photographed the John Day Fossil Beds a couple of years ago, and yes, a few barns. I will be back there next month (Maupin, Antelope, Shaniko) but on my bicycle for a 12-hour race with my son. No time for pictures. I will also be doing Cycle Oregon the week of Sept 10, which goes through Bandon this year.
