I arrived in Mexico City last evening in time for Margaritas on the hotel terrace! Met up with Nevada Wier and Jeremy Woodhouse to meet and greet and talk over plans for the coming tours. Excited to begin!
The hotel, The Gran Hotel Ciudad de Mexico, has a lovely tiffany glass ceiling. awesome, old architecture and bird cages with live birds singing all day long in the atrium that all floors look out over. Amazing. Such patterns and colors! I shot this as an HDR and processed it in Nik’s HDR Efex Pro. It did a terrific job! (If you want to save some money visit the link and follow the instructions for purchasing Nik’s products).
Group begins arriving today/this evening and we’ll have a social time and dinner together. Out tomorrow for raising of the flag ceremony and street photography before breakfast.
I’m going to try and blog daily but things get crazy in tours/workshops when you’re a leader! I’ll do my best to keep you posted about this whole experience.
Thanks, Lynne! It is a fun adventure, that’s for sure. Helen Keller once said “Life is nothing if not an adventure” and I’ve always loved that thought and approach!
What a lovely shot. I’ve just found your blog, and am looking forward to the trip in Mexico. Makes me want to get on a plane and start an adventure like you’re having. Meanwhile, I’ll just tag along with you if that’s OK!
Thanks, Lin! I’m going to ‘work it’ tomorrow too, it needs skylight behind it and tonight it’s quite dull by comparison…
I love your perspective. Gorgeous ceiling.
