We started our class today in Coupeville, on pastoral Whidbey Island. We’re in for mixed weather in the forecast but no real sign of rain. The gardens are in good shape and we have some fun places to photograph set up. But the light eluded us tonight. We had a few good moments of light at Ebey Prairie and the cloud formations were very nice as the above shows – just a quick process to share a picture from here. Then the light went, and the wind whipped up and well, that was that! We’ll see what 4:30 AM shows tomorrow… It’s always so hard to know what you’ll get but you go out anyway with the hopes it will be magical! Time for sleep…
That shot looks pretty magical to me!
I’m biased – I love your work, and will never forget the opportunity of taking the class with you at RMSP.
Thank you!
Hey Brenda, I’ll send good weather wishes to you! One of my friends is on the island now, I’ll have him watch for you. Best of luck with the shooting and workshop.
Thanks! We didn’t get rain but we didn’t get great light either, for sunset/sunrise – a few ‘almost incredibles’ but the group did a great job of making photographs with what we had…
